Idk if moms teach anything anymore, but my mom taught me to not say anything at all if I have nothing nice to say. Sometimes, it’s better to just bite your tongue, even if it’s the truth, for the sake of the other person and your own reputation. For example, you don’t just go up to a fat and ugly person and tell them, “hey! you know you’re fat and ugly right??” That gives you the reputation of a BITCH.
Maybe they’re proud of themselves. Maybe they appreciate what they have, whether it being something about themselves or about the things they have. If they worked hard for it, then let them be enjoy it, even if you think it’s a piece of shit. Regardless, think before you speak and consider their feelings and your rep.
But I don’t mean to lie to them and to be fake and a liar. If they ask for your opinion, then go ahead and tell them. But it also goes in hand with the way you say it. I guess what I’m trying to say is, I’ve seen so many rude and inappropriate comments or statements that shouldn’t have been said by mean people who speak irresponsibly.
Am I wrong?
